Hello Everyone! It's been a crazy summer here in Florida and we're busy playing hide and seek with the hurricanes! As the back to school season is on us, don't forget, that just because those lazy days of summer are behind us it doesn't mean the sunscreen should be packed away with your bathing suit! Every day our skin is bombarded by UV light, so, make a broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 part of your morning routine.
If going back to school is stressing you out and making you break out - here's a few things to remember to help keep that acne in check...wash with cool water, not hot....no rubbing or scrubbing because this can irritate skin and make your acne worse...no picking at your face...use non-comedogenic moisturizers and make-up made especially for oily and acne prone skin. There is a wide selection of over the counter acne products to choose from, but if you're having trouble getting your acne under control, think about scheduling an appointment with your dermatologist. They can determine if you need an Rx to treat your acne.
